I genuinely cannot believe that left wing societies that tout anti racism and believe in individual action etc etc can’t for the life of them consider getting involved in the tiniest degree with the movement - not even a meagre repost. it literally says in the tagline that it is centred on QUEER people of colour in Cambridge and yet nothing from queer societies? so many left wing societies will leap to running an event at the Iris to fundraise for something that impacts THEM, but nothing to support the people of colour in your city who are being targeted and marginalised? advocating for ALL people might involve putting yourself in the uncomfortable position where shock horror… you won’t be the centre of conversation bc it isn’t about you!! your performativity and white fragility is showing.
