#NUBaliwagFreedomWall33 A genuine question: Why is it that whenever NU (National University) athletes make mistakes or misbehave, all NU students get caught in the bashing? There's this notion na lahat sa NU, they're only good at sports but not in academics, as if you know ALL the students at National University and have actually experienced the education and teaching system there. As a National University student myself, it honestly hurts me to read those comments, knowing that the athletes' actions don't really represent the entire population of NU. Believe it or not, there are also intelligent people in NU. We sometimes even make it into the top 10 in licensure examinations. Our passing rates are also high. This isn't to overly defend NU, because whether we admit it or not, just like any other universities, National University isn't perfect either. Academically speaking, the students are smart, but we just lack facilities and proper equipment, which is why we don't rank higher in university rankings. But in terms of intellect, most NU students are smart and capable. And it doesn’t mean that just because the athletes aren't doing well academically and behaviorally, the general student population of NU is the same. Whenever we win in sports, I always see comments like, "You may have won, but your university ranking is so low!" Mind you, those rankings aren't just based on the students' intellect; they also consider the school's facilities and equipment. It's not the students' fault that the school sometimes chooses to add more campuses instead of improving the facilities that students can use. Anyway, my main point is that the misbehavior of NU athletes doesn't represent the behavior of all students at National University in general. Just because NU's university ranking is low doesn't mean all the students are weak academically; we simply lack facilities and proper equipment. The stereotype is so strong, and the hasty generalization is so apparent. If I ask you, out of 10 people in a group where one is bad, does that mean the other nine are also bad? The logic is as simple as that. Also, kapag nalalaman niyong taga NU kami, bakit lagi niyo tinatanong anong sport namin? Dude, believe it or not, may mga hindi po sporty sa NU, may mga studious po doon na matatalino. NU has been an academic institution since the 1900s. Do you seriously think that throughout 125 years ay walang significant contribution sa academic history ng Pilipinas ang NU at puro sports lang? Google niyo nalang po. Also, NU isn't just a dumping ground for those who didn't pass UP, because most of us actually did pass UP. It's just that we chose our dream course/program over our dream university. Most of us also passed the entrance exams for DLSU, Ateneo, and UST, but we chose NU because it offers a more budget-friendly education, aligning better with our financial realities. Anyway, you guys are smart people, alam kong gets niyo. Enough with the stereotype and hasty generalization. No hate, just love nalang 🫶🏼💛💙. Submitted Dec 11, 2025 9:37:03 AM

#NUBaliwagFreedomWall26 #NUBaliwagFreedomWall19 Sa totoo lang. Sobrang unreasonable na ng pagiging “strict” niya. Walang awa sa mga estudyante. How can you peacefully sleep at night knowing that you are not actually helping your students, but rather torturing them, hindering them in achieveing their dreams? Submitted Nov 4, 2025 9:43:15 PM
