We bring heavy books, commute from far places, and on top of that, we’re expected to walk around in uncomfortable heels. Adding another unnecessary expense by requiring us to buy new bags feels unreasonable. We’re students—we can’t just make money appear out of thin air. Why can’t we simply use the bags we already have? Whether it’s a backpack or a sling bag, regardless of the color, as long as it’s appropriate, neat, and presentable, shouldn’t that be enough? We’re asking the council to listen to the students who will actually be affected by this policy. Please reconsider the requirement and allow students to use the bags they already own, as long as they are appropriate and presentable. If there are concerns about uniformity, we hope the council can find a reasonable solution that doesn’t force students to spend more money unnecessarily. We’re not asking for special treatment—we’re asking for a practical and student-friendly policy. Please hear us out, reconsider the rule, and prioritize what is actually reasonable and accessible for students.
