#TCGConfessionMalaysia3311 I am a new ptcg player and I recently went to mxxxxx exxxx for their casual gym battle. It was quite scary because I was the only halfling and everyone is so competitive. I sat down with my opponent and I thought he was being friendly by starting a conversation with me. But I was so wrong and he gave me the ick by asking me so many personal questions about what is it like to live in the shire or whether I live alone. Then he asked me if I was single! I packed my stuff, got a refund for my entry and left. Why are human men so socially awkward and weird!

#TCGConfessionMalaysia3310 I have a confession: I really want to get into Weiss Schwarz, but looking at the local TCG scene makes me feel completely overwhelmed. Are there any local card shops or playgroups in KL/Selangor that are genuinely friendly to total newbies, or am I doomed to just collect cards and stare at them alone? I hope I can learn the game without getting judged or completely crushed on day one. Thanks for reading.

If you were opening a box of one piece booster pack, your friend beside you says he wants to help open a pack and you let him. He says: "if there is a manga in here I'm keeping it." You response with a sarcastic tone: "yeah right.." (as if he will get it). But in fact, he does end up pulling a manga card and insist that there was a "verbal agreement". What would you do in a situation like this?

#TCGConfessionMalaysia3308 I used to think that art is a waste of money. But after spending on pokemon cards that I like because some artwork perked my interest, my perspective changed 180. I now appreciate the little details and the artist’s flair that brings out different feelings when you look at them. Not only PTCG but I’m looking into MTG and FFTCG artworks too! I feel like supporting not only their TCG works but their art style outside of this hobby too. My hope is that one day I get to see a Malaysian artist featured in a TCG card that I can support🤞

#TCGConfessionMalaysia3307 I'm just a casual player for one piece tcg most of the time I just join when I had my free time but its so annoying when you are just there to enjoy the game and have fun, there will be this type of player that would say out loud your next move like in a doctor strange movie. Like I understand you are counting but its just a standard battle/meet up it was not that deep. Like every single move I make you gotta call it like we are playing valorant giving coms just let me make my move in peace you are winning anyways so just chill and keep to yourself P.S. I won that match

I have to say, I only really stuck around and continue playing because while I did have bad experiences where my opponents mansplain or belittle me when I first started getting into PTCG, I was lucky to have made friends that I truly enjoy playing with and acknowledge my growth. Pressure is always on though 🤣 to give your 100% each game, no one should ever be underestimated 🤭 With all the cons that comes with being in a hobby where most of the time you are the only girl in the shop, thank you to the guys that make me feel right at home 💕

#TCGConfessionMalaysia3305 What are your thoughts on "competitive" players? I met with a player whom have a peculiar competitive behaviour. Throughout the match he will have a smirk-atrogant expression. After a match he will prove his skills to opponents by telling them what he did to give pressure to them. Of all the competitive players I met, most of them are really friendly and open to discussion. That one peculiar one was indeed unique. Maybe playing TCg can express a player's true behaviour 😂

We love buddyfight, that's why seeing this is so painful to bear, to see it become just a joke and filler set for another game
