We know that our course can be exceptionally tough and, ironically, we may forget that before looking after our patients, we have to look after ourselves! So, this page is a platform for you to vent about MVST, joke about 2nd MB and, most importantly, to ask anonymously for advice and support. With such a large group of medics at Cam, combined with the older years, there is sure to be somebody with the same questions or concerns that you have and anybody (you can choose to remain anonymous by replying through the site to your chosen Medfare###) with helpful advice is free to share their experience and help.
Please put in relevant CNs and TNs to help us when we post
Be nice! We'll be moderating comments and there's no need to be hostile
Please remember that help is always available in multiple different forms, so never feel like you are alone! Please refer to our Welfare Essentials flowchart which has many, but not exhaustive, contacts for people you can get in touch with.

Hello 6th years. I may have spoken to some of you about a certain Anki deck for the Law and Ethics SAQ paper. For many others; this will be the first you're all hearing of it.
In any case; I finally let go of the doom-scrolling and got round to re-ordering the cards properly. So; I present to you the drive link for the final version of the deck. Please do not take this as an exclusive guaranteed resource to pass the SAQ, but feel free to use it to get the core content of the SAQ firmly into your brain. It's an Anking/Spranki style deck so it should hopefully not be too difficult to follow.
Please circulate this round to other years/keep hold of it to give to your successors once they reach final year.

Anyone know the threshold for a distinction? Top 10%? 20%? Does it change each year?

Y5 3rd resit advice/help, I failed the SAQ twice, I have a mitigating circumstance for the first sitting which was deemed reasonable by the mitigating circumstance panel.
I had a meeting with my DoS and someone from Clin School and he seems pretty confident they'll grant a 3rd sitting given I passed the other two exams for Y5, but obviously he doesn't make the decision, and I just can't shake the fear that they'll kick me out
Has anyone been through or know anyone who has been anything similar? Do they generally grant the 3rd sitting after intermission or would you say they're more likely to kick me out?

Why are there recent medfares saying that it is a nightmare trying to match in the US?
Someone in the comments previously mentioned in passing that they would strongly advise against doing so without any other information…
