Not to condemn anyone, but to spread awareness, since di po lahat ng bagay eh katatawanan. Hello? There’s a proper way to address someone without making us feel na naiinsulto. Words may seem small to you, but they can carry weight for someone who is already struggling.
“Irreg,” “Mga irreg,” or other terms na ginagamit ninyo just to call us out? Yes, we admit naman na we are at that stage of being irregular students. Kahit nakikitawa lang kami, the way you address us without knowing how we really feel deep inside our hearts hanggang sa ugat² still hurts more than you think.
You don’t know kung gaano kabigat ang pressure na buhat² namin, the disappointments, the self-doubt, the silent battles, and the fear of being left behind. Some of us question ourselves every day. Some of us are trying our best just to keep going.
You’re lucky, and you should be grateful since you were able to maintain your grades and pass those subjects na kung saan kami nahirapan. But please remember, not everyone has the same situation, capacity, support system, or circumstances. We all fight different battles that are not always visible.
Di ninyo alam kung ano ang pinagdaanan ng isang tao kung bakit siya naging ganoon. Sometimes delays are not failures.
Sometimes setbacks are part of growth.
We chase the same dreams. We walk in the same direction, but with a different pace. Hindi tayo pare-pareho ng takbo ng buhay. Kung sa inyo nakakatawa, sana sa amin din. But respect should never be optional.
Let’s normalize kindness. Let’s normalize empathy. A little consideration goes a long way.
God bless na lang sa inyo.
