#CarolinianUnfilteredWall40 Y'all, the Department of Accountancy Graduation Ball was . . . quite something, wasn't it ? Program started so late, audio for the preliminaries was messed up, there was a toast but no wine [watching people clink their glasses filled with water or iced tea was silly and kind of funny I guess, like what was the point], confusing segment of the host performing ? [seriously, no offense but who was that guy, and why was he suddenly singing, thought he was a performer or a special guest], an awarding ceremony featuring the same names and same faces over and over again [felt like we were forced to sit there and celebrate and clap for them, didn't give recognition or appreciation to so many excellent students and student leaders, like from jpia circles, committees, and outside organizations, even heard some people say "sila sila ray nalingaw ana ilang awarding"], who's most likely to questions that were boring and unfunny, raffle prizes that aren't useful for graduating students, students unable to enjoy the Arcustics performance because everyone was feeling tired and sleepy at that point, the subtle praise and prioritization of BSA students over BSMA students . . . the list goes on Overall . . . the money spent to join the event was not worth it, and many students wished they didn't attend at all. It just didn't feel like an event for everyone, you know ? And to think that we waited so long for this and so much hype was building, only for . . . that. But to end this post on a good note . . . . . . the food was good [sad there wasn't lechon though]

#CarolinianUnfilteredWall31 Ironically, I’ve noticed that some Carolinians take pride in studying here because they believe the education is better. While that might be true in some areas, it’s still very much debatable, especially when favoritism among professors is present. Like, bffr favoritism isn’t going to raise your paycheck anytime soon, but good luck, I guess. I honestly aspire never to be such a lowlife. I know naa kay imong struggles, pero ayaw ibutang imong kalisod sa mga estudyante. That’s not fair. Just because you're going through something doesn’t mean you get to take it out on your students. It’s exhausting and discouraging. At this point, I don’t even enjoy listening anymore. But aside from favoritism, what truly matters is how committed a teacher is to teaching the entire class. It should never be about personal bias or turning the class into your one-person show. Like hello??? Ania kami aron makakat-on????? But hey, if that’s how you want to go about it, go off I guess. #iwillneverbelikeyou #getbetter
